The Right Way to Drive Traffic to Your Website With Twitter

Today's guest article comes from Dave Simpson. Dave writes:

Website traffic isn't just about large amounts of readers; high quality is also a very important factor.

The key to Twitter-fed targeted traffic generation is generating followers. Roughly 25-30% of followed Twitter users will follow a person in turn. If the Twitter account appears to be a spam blog, no one will follow it. When the Twitter account pertains to a theme through which the Twitter fellow member may well possess some interest, they'll follow it. You'll also require much more than just one Twitter account simply because every single account caps at two thousand followers. You need to have an unique e mail account for every single Twitter account so act keeping that in mind. Two to 3 accounts per targeted search term stream is advised.

So, do you know the simplest ways to make certain folks follow you back again?

You will have to decide on your Twitter title very carefully. A Twitter brand that reflects the subject of your respective visitors stream is ideal for this objective. As an example, a traffic stream which promotes cartoons games may well be called some thing like anime_games (though we're sure it is used). You may also want an image that echos the topic of this Twitter accounts. You may well wish to choose a Twitter design and style that operates seamlessly using the site to which you're sending site visitors. A custom background to match your traffic target web page could be best for a smooth layout.

Twitter-related applications are legion, as we have now pointed out. You will discover so many tools that you will find lots of great Twitter resources. You will want tools for Twitter account mining and following. The one many use is Twollo. Various other similar application with their personal strengths and weaknesses are Social Oomph, (which was once referred to as Tweet Later and contains some other features), Mr. Tweet and Tweet Added.

Along with automatic applications for following people, there are several services that let you set and forget your Tweets. I'd personally often advise applying this carefully as you do not want to come across as a spammer - nothing will make folks head faraway from you quicker than this I'm afraid. Nevertheless, if methods like Twuffer and SocialOomph are employed the right way, then, once more, they may be good timesavers.

Believe it or not there are also Twitter applications that can Allow you to make Cash on autopilot. RevTwt enables you to get paid for sponsored tweets For your Customers and there are numerous you to set up scheduled campaigns, Tweeting messages at predetermined times for Optimum Impact.

The question is not how to generate traffic with Twitter. The real problem will be in discerning what to do with all the traffic you've produced.

Getting traffic to your website can be one of the biggest challenges when trying to make money online. But if you have Traffic Ultimatum to help you, then you are almost certain to succeed. Check out my in-depth Traffic Ultimatum Review and get some great bonuses when you sign up.

Web Site Submission - Site Distribution to Promote Business

Today's guest author is Nickolas Jacques S Mcfarland. He's writing about Website Submission! Nickolas says:

The first step to attract customers to your website is to distribute your site to the top search engine (SE) indexes. SE submission should be managed properly. To make sure correct promotion of your web business you must publish your site to search engines which allows for better optimization. Web site submission is the process of giving a particular websites URL and title to search engines. The submission process varies in how long it takes and which search engine was utilized, and how much the customer would like to shell out. Ranging from free to very high costs, web site submission is an essential part in getting web site traffic on any web site. Free submission of website to search engines is tedious. It can take hours to publish to perhaps a basic bunch of search engines. Some websites condense this procedure for you, by getting your information once, and submitting it to numerous search engines.

Web sites, portals, SE's, communities, trade clubs, and broker based web sites, among others, are the kinds that provide directory submission capabilities. Many website submissions and other marketing based platforms give detailed information and statistics regarding their website visitors. This information is normally summarized into site profile, which may include the following: web site overview, audience demographics and psychographics, category listing and marketing opportunities as well as specifications and pricing info.

The potential advantages of getting indexed in popular search sites are known to everyone in the web development industry. Web folks do understand what opportunities they are missing out if they do not happen to be in key SE's and website directories. In that circumstance, it won't be an overstatement to add that webmasters are pretty concerned with search listings to redefine their companies and companies of their customers. Hence the importance of web site submissions and more specifically, the significance of web site submissions in the right manner. A perfectly created web site aimed at securing a good rank in key SE's and directories first must be published to the right forums, and the right way before it could gain a place of prominence in the listing.

Based on research, in the study of the behavior of search marketing people, it has proven that the top three listings in organic website submissions generate the most targeted traffic. This is a result of the following reasons. The eye naturally reads left to right, top of page to bottom of page. This reaction isn't any different for somebody reading top web site submissions to somebody reading a newspaper or book. Leading website submissions are the most visible to the internet user. The SE user considers the top website submissions to be the most relevant to their search, then the second search result to be the second most relevant, the third to be the next most relevant, and so forth. The possibility of a search engine user trusting on result lowers dramatically with website submissions listed below.

The top three website submissions in results created by Google are the most convenient and the simplest for the user gain access to. Top website submissions mean minimum effort for the end user. It is also highly unlikely that the user will proceed beyond the initial page website submissions in the results. How to Get Better Website Rankings With Search Engine Marketing

Today's article comes from my friend Michelle. She's an expert when it comes to Search Engines and how to get "found" on the internet. Michelle says:

Incoming links to your website, known as backlinks or inbound links, can play a vital role in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of your website. Backlinks are useful for tracking external pages that link to your website but, more importantly, using keyword rich backlinks can actually drive traffic to your website. We also know that search engines use backlinks as one of the components to determine a website's ranking when displaying search results.

Search engine spiders are intelligent computer programs that calculate a variety of factors that impact where you place in website ranking. Getting lots of links, that are not relevant, scattered on multiple websites is a futile effort because search engines typically match website relevancy as part of their formula. For example, if you sell real estate and you place your link on a blog commentary regarding aeronautical engineering, chances are a search engine will not give the link very much "credit". If, however, you place your real estate link on a blog that deals with kitchen makeovers, then you may get picked up by search engines that calculate the related connection between the content and your keywords rich backlink. The best way to make sure you are placing your link on relevant pages is to consider that keyword connection on the topic. If the keywords are "related" then it's most likely a good match.

Having the link to your site it great, but it is even more important that the anchor text for the link is created using appropriate related keywords. The anchor text is the descriptive label that identifies your hyperlink. Your anchor text should be comprised of keywords that are related to the content of the link's landing webpage. The same concept should be applied to image tags since spiders (a type of search engine bot) crawl the web looking at all keywords, including ones that are not part of the page's main body.

For instance, if you are linking to a site about the best chocolate chip cookies, you should use anchor text that reads something like "best chocolate chip cookies" instead of

even though you see sites linking directly with the URL in the anchor text, keyword rich anchor text is best.

So how do you take those anchor texts and turn them into results? It is all about the numbers. On site search engine optimization can only take you so far, you then have to work on improving your reputation through off site relevant backlinks.

Using search tools you can analyze the backlinks of your competitors to determine what you need to do to compete. If you have 20 relevant backlinks and your competitor has 100, then you need to level the playing field, and consistently add more backlinks to meet or exceed the 100 relevant backlinks of your competitors.

Don't misunderstand, backlinks are not the only factor, they are one of many factors, but often noted as the telling difference between a top search engine listing and a listing that brings you no results at all. But if you have maxed out your on site SEO, the next natural step is to begin building relevant, keyword rich backlinks to your site.

If you want better results from your website, you can always do your seo yourself or you can choose an SEO expert to help move your site to the next level.

Autoresponders - Are You Flushing Money Down the Toilet?

Today's special post comes from Shafondra Matthews. It's about AUTORESPONDERS! (If you don't know what these are - you're leaving money on the table in your business!) Shafondra writes:

Do You Have an Autoresponder?

If not then you're throwing perfectly good cash away each and every day. Why you ask? Because autoresponders allow you to build a list of your customers. It gives you the power to stay in front of them as often as possible. Once you have a list, it's yours to keep. No one can ever take it away from you. And the most exciting part is you get to monetize the list...over and over again.

There are several ways to monetize or make money from your list. One way is follow-up offers or upsells. One general marketing principle is it usually takes 7xs - 10xs for a prospect to see a message before they take any action. So whether it's your initial offer or if your offering an additional product or service, an autoresponder makes the process of staying in front of your customer simple. Just write 7-10 messages for your email campaign and schedule them out for the next month or so. You're selling without even being there.

It's always Cheaper to Sell to an Existing Customer than it is to Acquire a New One

There's always an upfront cost to acquiring any customer - known as the customer acquisition cost. Once you have a customer, it's easier to re-sell to that person over and over again. They already trust you enough to do business with you. It's best to capitalize off that relationship as much as possible.

The average internet marketer sells one product to a particular customer one time. They don't think of the customer as a potential life-long relationship. The top marketers looks at a sale as the beginning, not the end. Why spend more money, time and energy looking for new customers when you can leverage the rapport you already have with an existing one. The sale process will generally be quicker and cheaper.

Joint Venture Partnerships

Joint ventures also known as JVs or JV Partnerships are one of the best ways to leverage and monetize your list. You can partner up with someone who has a similar product or service to offer your customers. And if you dare, you can even do a JV with a direct competitor.

Now you may be wondering, why on earth would I let my competitor sell to MY customers? Well to top marketers know that there is plenty to go around. There is such a thing as 'shared customers.' Do you shop at more than one grocery store? I'm sure you do. It's the same idea. People buy from multiple place to fulfill their needs. Your competitor may have a product or service that works for them the best at that moment and time. Some of the pie is better than none. Why not make commission off competitor sells. There is the possibility that they could find your customer and sell to them without your knowledge and you make nothing at all.

Autoresponders are powerful tools. This is what skyrockets some internet marketers from making $1k a month to $10k a month. Just by having an automated way to reach customers over and over again. Don't throw good money away. Build a list, the possibilities to monetize are endless. They know you and trust you. Nurture that relationship, explore it to the fullest extent. You'll see a significant impact in your business.

Building an email list is just the beginning. There's more to learn such as how to build different list types, how to structure the emails and much much more. Be sure to visit the website to learn more about autoresponders and email list marketing.

How to Have Your Best Year Ever!

In today's video, the lateJim Rohn tells us how to have the "Best Year Ever"!

Types of Links and How to Use Them

Today's guest post comes from Aya Wilkinson. Aya writes:

There are three types of links that you can utilize for better Search Engine Optimization. There are inbound links or backlinks, links coming into your website; outbound links, which are leading to other websites from your website; and internal links, which are links that move you around the actual website. It's important that you know how to use these links to your benefit, and especially how much. Hiring an SEO Consultant will be best as their experience in the profession has introduced them to many different websites that can link to you or vice-versa. Also, they can make sure that your website stays away from suspicious websites that can hurt your ranking.

Anchor text is basically text that has a hidden URL that takes you to another website or webpage. It's important that you have descriptive anchor text, and even better if it has a keyword relevant to both the link and the rest of the text in the document. In regards to internal links, it's good to have good keyword usage, however, it's not as important as outbound links. Another point to make about anchor text is to have the text surrounding it, before and after, to have natural flow and be relevant to the actual anchor text. It is to your benefit to do this as it gives reverence to the actual link, text, and keywords used.

Inbounds links, or backlinks, are very important to your website, and their age is even more important. Both the age of the link itself as well as the age of the inbound website is of high importance. Too many inbound links in a short time will look like link spamming or link buying. The origin of your backlinks is also very important, the better the links, the better the ranking. It's good to have inbound links from reputable websites with good Google PR. However, sometimes link farms and other suspicious websites link to your, in this case you really have no power over who links to you, as long as the links aren't reciprocal. It will not harm your ranking, however, try and avoid these types of websites as association with them is never good.

A great way to get a higher ranking is if you have links from directories. However, here there are also many that you must avoid, such as PR0 directories. You should link directories like Yahoo and DMOZ. It helps boost your ranking and of course more searchers will see your website. Another good way to boost ranking is by linking to sites similar to your own. This is very important for both inbound and outbound links. For inbound links it means that you have a good relationship with your competition and they are voting for you. The best types of links to have are from .edu websites. Of all the different types of links these are most reputable, however, they are also the hardest to get.

The number of inbound links to your website is important to your ranking only if the inbound links are reputable and similar to your own. Quality over quantity. It's also very good if the page that links to you has less links, and best if your link is the only one, this is because it makes your website look more important. Though it's good to have many inbound links, it's not very good to have many outbound links. Make sure that you have no more than 100 per page or it may drop your ranking.

As mentioned above it's not good to have excess number of outbound links. This is because if there are too many it's considered excessive linking or link spamming. It's not good for your ratings, even if the links are not bad neighbors and you don't practice cross linking. The main reason that this is frowned upon is because it suggests link buying. Another very bad technique is outbound linking to link farms. Just the association with such websites will drop your ranking.

The practice of cross linking is also frowned upon. A simple example of cross linking is Link A - Link B - Link C - Link A. Another deceitful way to get higher ranking is by having single pixel links. Though this is invisible to the human eye, it's meant to influence the search engines ratings of the website in a dishonest way. If a search engine discovers that any of these practices are being used in your website your ranking may be dropped or your website removed altogether.

So, keep in mind that it's important to gather inbound and outbound links for your website, however, always consider their reverence to your website as well as how trusted they are. You don't want to be associated with suspicious websites. Also, it's important where and how you locate your links within your website in order to get the best Search Engine Optimization. It's always best to hire a professional to optimize your website as they will use the experience they have as well as knowledge of search engines.

Goal Setting 101

Check out this video I found on Youtube of Zig Ziglar talking about Goal Setting!

Establish an Online Presence - SEO, Social Media, & Affiliate Marketing Networks

Today's guest article comes from the Internet Master of Affiliate Marketing, Mike Filsaime! Mike says:

With over 6 billion people connected to the Internet worldwide, it is no surprise that anything can be found on the Internet. In fact, if you wish to make it in this new e-commerce world, you will need a solid online presence. This means integrating good SEO tactics, social media efforts and developing affiliate marketing networks. It is the only way to get yourself seen by both consumers and affiliates.

Basics of SEO
You could spend years studying SEO and never understand it all. Search engine optimization is constantly changing as search engines constantly change their requirements. Every time search engines like Google, Yahoo, or Bing make changes, someone comes along and tries to cheat. In turn, this causes the search engines to change their strategy again.

However, some basic SEO techniques are completely white hat and never go out of style.

Original Content - Instead of wasting time figuring out ways to cheat the system, focus on creating original content. Even if you beat the search engines, real people will want to read new stuff.
Quality - Along with original content, you will want quality writing. While the search engines may not recognize the difference, people do. High quality content will keep people coming back.
Continuous - Search engines and people like pages that are updated frequently. At the very least, you need to provide fresh content once a week. Ideally, you will want to provide content on 5 days a week.

Basics of Social Media
There was a time when businesses did not have a presence online and when they did, it was just a website. Now people want and expect businesses to have a social media presence as well. This could be places like Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter. The idea is to give people a place to find out what is happening and to provide feedback.

A social media site should include:

Promotional Information
New product descriptions
Polls/Surveys of potential products
Exclusive deals, coupons or offers

Basics of Affiliate Marketing Networks
Affiliates are a great way to promote your product. They can drive traffic to your site and increase sales. You can use both SEO techniques and social media outlets to attract potential affiliates.

An affiliate marketing system will need:

Tax records - You need the complete tax information on every affiliate you accept before you send out any payments. At the end of the year, you will be required to send out tax documentation to these people and to the IRS. Without the proper forms, you will find yourself paying taxes for your affiliates.
Promotions - While not always a requirement, many people have prizes, bonus and other rewards for their top affiliates. Again, you will need a system to track any promotional items given away. If you fail to track these items, you will have to pay taxes on these prizes.
Tracking ROI - ROI is one of the most important things you will have to deal with. Whether you outsource this or do it yourself, you will need to find some way to track your success in SEO, social media, and affiliates. This way you can determine what is working and what needs to be fixed.

Would you like have a service for your online business that tracks all W9 and 1099 information for your tax records on files?
